MORE about giselle

Originally from Texas but currently residing in a cozy cabin in the Bluegrass, Giselle never spends too much time in woods. Stateside Luxury was borne of her love for travel, dining, and a knack for picking out the finest things in life with no regard for reason. Rationality aside, her career began over a decade ago in the wedding industry, and she's been publishing print magazines since 2016. Passions include spending time with her fam, flowers, tangible fine paper goods, comfy Aspen vacays, reading, and collaborating on local non-profit events.

fact of life:

NEXT SET

Roses because she was a high end event florist in another life. Luxury is more than expensive trips or fancy shoes. It's a life with time to experience and appreciate the little things and those you share them with every single day.

SMELL THE ROSES

05. TAKE TIME TO

Can't get any more cliché than that. Patent Louboutins and some bright chartreuse  Jimmy Choos are her love of late.

SHOES

04. ADDICTED TO

If they're on the road, they're dining out. The Creative Director creates days around reservations made weeks in advance whether it's for a casual lunch or a Michelin star.

WHAT SHE EATS

03. she's KNOWN FOR

Giselle's go-to luggage is a classic LV duffel, and she can fit a week's worth of clothing, shoes, and beauty in her carry-on minus winter coats and ski gear.

PACKING LIGHT

02. big fan of

Where you lay your head is of the utmost importance, and hotels are her absolute favorite thing. Luxury is nothing if not a relaxing place to rest and reset. Pools are a must, rooftop if possible, and often a deciding factor.

01. NEVER SKImP

PREVIOUS SET

The more, the merrier is her motto when taking kids out to dinner or on vacation. Most trips and dining adventures include children Kenzie, 17, and Henry, 2 plus the occasional grandparent for moral support.

BABES

1o. LIFE IS BETTER WITH

While you won't see her in cowboy boots often, Giselle is always down for a night out dancing in the Lonestar State.

TWO STEPPING

09. secret talent

She began with planning weddings and designing florals, but now Giselle primarily plans non-profit events. In 2022 thus far she's raised over $97,000 for local charities.

GIVING BACK

08. LOVES

Visiting oyster spots across the country is bucket list material. Faves include Perla's in Austin, Clark's in Aspen, Henrietta Red in Nashville, and The Optimist in Atlanta.

OYSTERS

07. gimme all those

Giselle and her husband, Aleks, have visited Aspen every winter for the past five years. You can find him on a lift or speeding down the mountain on skis, but she'll most likely be in the hotel hot tub or planning their next meal.
